Preparing Food at the Mustard Seed
On November 6th, 7 volunteers from our congregation served supper at the Mustard Seed. The kitchen staff are awesome at The Seed (with a shout out to Linda!) They had the meal prepared and warming in late afternoon. We had a great afternoon and evening cutting up desserts, washing dishes, preparing, and serving the guests. Our meal of Chicken pot pie, veggie mashed potatoes and gravy, a classic marinated vegetable salad and some wonderful desserts was delicious! We ate as a group after we served the meal and then headed back to the kitchen to clean up.
We also had time to cut up carrots, snap peas and peeled and cut potatoes for the next meal to be served. We look forward to volunteering there again.
